Surprising Parent Tips! (Furniture Assembly Edition)
Have you ever tried taking apart your child’s crib? Or put together a new mini-Kitchen? Or bought a kid-sized table and chairs? At some point, if you’re a parent, you’re going to be called upon to break out the allen wrench. The dreaded allen wrench.
This needs an allen wrench (BTW, This kitchen is highly recommended!)
and this (You might have seen one of these…)
Why dread the allen wrench? Ah. You don’t have kids yet.
Here’s why! How long does it take to make one half-turn, and then take the hexagonal tip out of the screw, re-align it, turn another half-turn, and continue.
Forget it if you’re at an angle!
The solution! Parenting Tip! (Furniture Assembly Edition)
Guess what? I have discovered the secret that will save you time, sore fingertips, and much inappropriate-for-in-front-of-your-toddler muttering.
This. Is an allen wrench. RATCHET set.
You align once. You’re already at a 90 degree angle, so you can actually create some torque, and you DON’T take it out and re-align it! You just turn it back and forth and it quickly and easily screws in the darn thing.
I want to make it clear that I am in no way affiliated with this product.
But I just put together this.
In record time.
I’m a convert.
Please, save yourself time, frustration, etc.
Happy (toy and crib) building!
